Worship Lord Sadā Shiva and Lord Bālāsāyee Shankara who wears the moon on His forehead (Chandra Shekhara) and holds the Trishoola (the trident representing the three attributes, three times, and three spaces). Thou hast the third eye (Bhala Netra) on Thy forehead. Thou art also known as Tripurāri for having burnt the three fortresses of gold, silver and iron built by the Asura (demons) in the sky, air and on earth. These cities and their inhabitants (demons) were burnt down at the prayer and requestof the Gods.
